520,000 of these are books alone, but also music, LP’s, CD’s, cassettes, cards, videos and CD-ROM’s as well as domestic and foreign newspapers. The library is open to all citizens with a valid membership card. The membership fee is Euro 23.50 a year; with student discount it costs Euro 18.00; with Köln-Pass the fee is Euro 11.50; a short time membership costs Euro 8.00 and admission is free for children up to 18 years.
