Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany The Art and Exhibition Hall is the major venue for special exhibitions and art events of international significance in Germany. Thanks to a generous 5600 sqm of floor space, the Art and Exhibition Hall can run five differently sized exhibitions simultaneously. Since the opening in 1992 the Art and Exhibition Hall has hosted over 130 exhibitions and a wide range of events. About 1 million visitors from all over the world visit the Art and Exhibition Hall every year. Culture and nature The unique man-made landscape of the Siebengebirge has to offer a lot. As one of the most important reference points of the Rhine romanticism the region since the 19th century attracts countless visitors from all over the world. Regional specific features, how the rock parts in the dragon’s rock or the great view of the Mount of Olives stamp till this day the respect of the region. Due to long nature conservation tradition it can be opened in restful wanderings. Besides, connects the Rhine steep path, a premium footpath which leads from Bonn to Wiesbaden and accompanies the Siebengebirge along 40 km, many museums, exhibitions and places of interest. The picturesque Eifel area attracts hikers as well as cyclists to Europe‘s most dense forest region. Some of the best German wines are also grown on the steep rock terraces of the Ahr valley where hikers will also find a further highlight: the Rotweinwanderweg (the Red Wine Hiking Trail), a 35 km stretch through the vineyards between Bad Bodendorf and Altenahr. Along the romantic wine growing towns of the Ahr and in the heart of this region, you will experience the symbiosis of old and new – Ahrweiler with its historic charm and the modern spa town of Bad Neuenahr which has been named Germany’s »best spa town«. |
